    Anyone else up for this?

Another huge test for Robson, could set up the Hobbart rematch with Sloane.

She's got experience of beating established names at Grand Slams.

I really rate her chances here, could be huge in her development. Plus she's used to Australian heat, whereas Petra will just wilt.

Petra has been such a disappointment lately... hopefully she doesn't have any health (asthma) issues and swing away like she can...

It's matches like this you are glad they still have paper tickets for. That way you can rip them up as you leave early ...

I think this night session will go down as the most boring, uninteresting despite the featured players. You had Federer and his magic, then you put two lefty go-for-broke-all-the-time ladies to follow, and what do you get? A dead crowd. Even the commentators are sounding uninterested.

Haha, it doesn't help that they put a monotonic umpire for the Robson/Kvitova match.

It was just announced "heat rule" is in effect, and that either player can request to take a break...

If they do, I'm just going to turn off the TV and sleep.

If Robson gets in, Kvitova gets 2nd place and she wouldn't miss by much.

The crowd is so quiet, you can hear a constant beeping in the background.

What is that? Is that Australian wildlife or some random equipment?

it's so hot and the players are so cold that the umpire gave them each about 10 minutes after the second set.

    you still here? ;)

then, laura took about 35 seconds between points and the umpire remained silent out of pity I suppose

Has Robson broken the record for catching a ball toss yet?

Also, that hitch/racquet head drop on her serve is alarming...

Fair play to her, Laura breaks back, 3-2. Kvitova's serving is an embarrassment.

JUST her serving? I know I'm in no place to criticize these pros as on any given day, they'll smoke all of us. But...

This match looks like neither of them got warmed up, and they're just stepping onto the court cold, for the past 2 hours...

Doubles doubles doubles, error error error, miss every other stroke.

The crowds have been awfully quiet in most games, unless Aussies have been playing, and even then, they were stunningly quiet in Hewitt's match.

    Must be the heat.

    This handshake will be interesting:

Kvitova - freezing Robson with double faults then aces to level the game
Robson - freezing Kvitova with ball tosses

It just hits me that AO doesn't have a final set tie-breaker...

Any of you guys seen the movie "The Happening"? This match is like that movie, cause by the time this match is over, we're all going to ask ourselves: "WTF did we just watch?!"
