I don't know, I had my suspicions for sure LOL. He did seem to be into the match a lot though, and was clapping and cheering for Nadal a lot. Maybe he secretly likes Nadal more?

Laver saw Rafa's picture and thought it was the Melbourne zoo.

Laver is doing an interview together with Federer right now.

Is this going to be after the Murray match? On TV or at the arena?

Oh, look, judging by the title a LOLville thread that isn't about Fed, a refreshing change...

    ...sorry, my bad.

Oh no doubt Laver likes Nadal more as evidenced by all this which makes his open era ranking of players in which he puts guys like Mcenroe, Sampras, Borg and gasp Federer ahead of Nadal all the more objective and carries a lot more weight.

Laver is probably not a Nadal fan (I remember something controversial Laver said about Nadal that people considered offensive. I can't remember what it was exactly). Laver knows Nadal is almost certainly going to beat Federer and was watching in the hope that Berdych would take him down. Laver left the court when Nadal got on top.

Laver was watching Nadal because he knew it was his last chance to see him win a match this tournament.

Yeah I noticed that! Very astute observation fellow TT'er! He likes Nadal so much that he put him at #6 in his top 10 list and federer at first too!

    Weird eh? :)

Maybe he was scouting for Rogi? Looking for something that might help him win. Probably not, but you never know...

It isn't weird at all, Laver is just a stand-up old school kind of aguy, when faced with such a serious task(ranking tennis greats) he doesn't let his personal bias(obviously he likes Rafa) get in the way of an objective analysis.

If he says Rafa is #6, you better believe it.

I saw the footage this week of Nadal getting his phone out and taking a picture of himself with Laver. It's as if they've never met.... Why would that be? I've seen Laver with Federer frequently. I doubt Laver's sincerity toward Rafa.

“Murray gets in a position where he’s maybe up a break or in a position to win a game, and he just plays it back,” added the great Australian.

“That’s when you put your foot down and make sure you win that point so you get either two breaks or you get a break back."

Shove it Rod! He praises nadal and federer a lot by why is he so mean when it comes to Murray?
