Another clay court player for Roddick, what a dream draw he has. Who does he play next, yet another clay court player Robredo, you have to admit, all wounded or clay court players. WWF at its best.

It isn't Roddick's fault that he is palying clay courters. If they are all win their matches don't you think they deserve a shot at Roddick?

It's amazing. How did I know this post was coming? Am I psychic? Nope. It's just Barry has become so predictable with his discontent for Roddick. Barry, my friend, I believe you need a girl in your life to distract from your jealousy of Andy Roddick. I know he reminds you of that guy that gets all the girls in school, but look, hatred and jealousy gets you nowhere. Every post from you will get a response from me, because since you need to remind the world of how easy a draw Roddick gets, I need to remind the same world how blatently retarded you are.

    PS: Go Agassi.

Hmmm...lets see.the guy gets to play at night when his serve is most unreturnable. The USTA makes sure the balls and the court surface favor big servers,
No conspiracy at all.its like the Davis cup, instead of the US deciding to play indoor at Mohegan Sun on Indoor, the USTA just lightens everything up so that Andy has the best shot of winning.

I think the clay courters are proving their mental edge over "hard-courters"(like Safin), who continually implode.

I gotta say you guys are too funny. Stop bashing on roddick. lets face it he is a very good player. stop hating on him. I dont get it why everybody is trying to find faults in roddick, no matter what he does or is doing. sign*

Of course they are going to help him out a little bit, but the fact is he is beating opponents he is facing. He is not choosing who to play and who not to play. BTW the surface and balls are chosen not only yo help Andy a bit but also Serena, Venus, Andre and Lindsay. Do you think they are all have something in common?

    Nadal, recovering fromsurgery
    Jenkins, give me a break......

I reallly hope Michael Llorda gives him a hurting.,and that he gets to play when the temperature goes above 75.

Well, he is playing Robredo who is not recovering from the injury and is #19 in entry system. He was in semis in Cincy so he knows how to play on hard and is not just a typical clay courter. Roddick leads 6-0 head to head and has not lost a set yet... Guess how many games Robredo will take off him? I bet 6 or 7, maybe 8...

The USTA takes out Roddick's opponents and gets them drunk the night before a match.

If they don't drink they are paid to "take a dive".

With the way Roddick is playing now, I don't see how an easy or tough draw will make much different. Accept it that there really aren't many players who can beat him at this moment other than a few.

So why keep whining about the draw???

A very reliable source told me something Barry couldnt reveal: the USTA has actually put tranquilizer's in Roddick's opponents water bottles while giving Roddick Amphetamines. Oh, and that wasnt really Canas he was playing it was his doppelganger--who looks like him but is only a 5.0 teaching pro at a club in vermont. What a hoax!!! Thanks Barry.

Well... if we want to get ridiculous... Roddick was injured this year too :p

And on the ATP (not junior) Federer has only beaten Nalbandian after he was injured or horribly fatigued... played an old man in Costa who is a claycourter... beat up an old claycourter in santoro.... played a recent junior (who has good talent like Nadal) in Baghdatis.... BLAH BLAH BLAH

How is it an advantage to make Roddick play Tuesday, Friday, and then potentially 5 more 3-of-5 set matches in a week?

I just don't buy the "USTA is tweaking the schedule to favor Roddick" conspiracy theory.

As Vlad said, Robredo is No. 19 in the system so there goes barry's "Roddick hasn't played a player in the Top 20" statement.

Doe not look like Robredo is exactly burning up the hard courts. Are you saying he is a hard court player? I thought you were an avid tennis fan, next you will be telling us Serena won a grand slam.

Here is his record, not very good on fast surfaces. http://sports.yahoo.com/ten/players/23 . He lost to Gaudio in the first round of the Australian open.

    Barry,

May I just asked then exactly whose draw is so much harder than Andy here in USO? If you had watched how Andy is playing now, you will acknowledge that it really doesn't matter much who did he draw in the early rounds.

Roddick has beat up on a 1400th ranked player, 2 clay court players coming off injury, guess even I would look good playing against a one legged player.

To soon to tell how Roddick is playing. He needs to be tested, so far he has only played high ball hitters at night.

I still think we should seed 128 players according to ranks, then there is no question about it.

but then again none of the top players has had a really hard draw so far.. of the top contenders.. maybe Agassi's had a few slightly tougher opponents.

Roddick is playing well.. he can only beat what's put in front of him and it's plenty enough for the rank and file pros on hard court.. but there will be more severe tests for sure.

I'm no big Roddick fan, but I've got to hand it to the guy. He's playing impressively. Nonetheless, I do believe he is yet to be truly tested.
