I always see these two and several other pro's wearing these elastic-like wristbands on their strong hand, what are they for and are they sold in public sports stores?

Isner wears a yellow one, which would suggest Livestrong. He also has a black one, but I don't know what it represens. Roddick wears a Livestrong-type bracelet. It's blue and for his foundation. It says "No Compromise." They are just to show support for his organization, not to help his game. You can get them off of his website or sometimes the Bay.

That makes sense, thanks Seth. It should have been obvious to me when I see them only for the superstars who can have their own foundations for each professional sport (eg. James, Pierce in the NBA)

Roddick's website has some more of the red, white, and blue "No Compromise" wristbands...
they only have it in the Adult sizes... get them while you can!
just ordered a few for myself!
I can't tell if they are selling them individually or if they are selling them in packs of ten because of the item code, but I placed an order for three, I'll see when I get them...
