I didn't know these guys played at wimbledon before!
Oh man... I want this game SO much!
They did really well with matching the players strokes. Who else is buying this game? And for what system?

Virtua Tennis 3 looks amazing so far... I'm going to be getting it for the 360, so I can play it online. Apparently the PS3 version doesn't support multiplayer.
Graphics look fab but why is Roddick standing in No Mans Land the whole time ?
That is correct. And the 360 will support 1080p. So there is no reason to get the PS3 version.
I still don't know why the players don't wear the brands they endorse. It shows them in the player select screens...
Yeah graphics and strokes are pretty spot on. But a few things I noticed:
1. His backhand is nowhere near that good so they need to make that a little more realistic. And it sort of pains me to say that because im defintitely a pro Roddick guy but we all know it isnt that good.
2. What the hell kind of racquets are they using? Could they not just put the Babolat Stripes on there? Paintjob looks like a cross between a K-Factor and a Dunlop.
And watching that video sort of reminded of the Roddick of old and how he used to CRUSH his forehand if anyone left something hanging. He needs to get back to that
Where is Nadal's grunt!!!!!!!
Who ever played as Nadal sucked it up! But other then that those graphics are amazing!
Another anti-Nadal thing. Nadal plays much better than that. The Nadal hate must end. It is not good to hate. Roddick only wishes he could hit like that.
Why is Roddick grunting more than Nadalis? : (
Amazing graphics and all, but I'll bet that the gameplay is very much similar to the old Virtua tennis. And it's not realistic at all. Just a fun arcade tennis game, now with amazing graphics and details.
The PS3 does support 1080p and the graphics are slightly sharper.
That song pumped me up lol
The PS3 version was going to be 1080p from the beginning. The 360 version was going to be 720, but they announced a couple weeks ago that the 360 would be 1080p native as well.
they both move too fast, and theyre too quick, that kinda threw me off a little, not that realistic
Dude, it's a game. Seriously, I doubt the writers of Virtua Tennis were like, "you know who sucks? Nadal. Let's make him terrible in the game."
As much as you would like there to be world wide "Nadal hate", there's not. Let it go.
Nadal serve looks relastic. The game play looks better than Topspin 2. Also why couldn't they call the tournment Wimbledon? Another marketing issue like the first Topspin
Yeah thats what I was wondering They made Roddick's forehand stronger than Nadal's serve
Because the game is realistic.
Actually I think it's because Gamespot is an American site, so obviosuly they're making Roddick look good. I think they would've beenc razy to have had Roddick beating down Federer.
PS3 doesn't suppot multiplayer? Where did that come from?
Roddick was shocking. In no man's land the whole time. Nadal should have taken it.
Roddick was taking the ball on the rise. He hit the ball as soon as it touched the ground preventing Nadal's shot from bouncing too high.
What I should have said was "PS3 doesn't support online multiplayer"
I read that in Eurogamer's First Impressions of Virtua Tennis 3
I think it will be online multiplayer in the US.
The last Virtua Tennis for PS2 was online, don't see why they wouldn't make the PS3 one online.
It looks like the same gameplay as Virtua Tennis 2, except a bit smoother graphically. Some of the same errors are still present.
-Roddick's serve speed averaged only 188 km/h, the absolute maximum was only 217 km/h. They do this so that his serve can actually be returned, but he obviously hits bigger than that.
-Attacking the net is still too easy.. in virtua tennis playing an attacking game and constantly moving forward is much too simple. When you are caught in the famed "no man's land" in virtua tennis, it's no big deal as you can just hit a normal shot from your feet.
-The overhead is ridiculously powerful.
Does anyone know if there is a zoom camera angle in virtua tennis 3. I hate the far camera angle. I wish tennis games stuck with the zoom for singles and doubles (or at least have the option to do so)
In virtua Tennis 2 / World Tour (PSP), you press Select on the PSP version for close up zoom behind your player. I'm sure Virtua Tennis 3 will have a better sort of feature.
