Saulnier has been playing very very well in this tourny. His last two meetings with Roddick had been a very close 3 set matches.
Can he upset the local favorite?

I guess Saulnier decided not to show up for it...

Congratulations to Saulnier on being finally making a final and being the first Frenchman in the Sieble Open final.

Also congratulations to Andy Roddick for successfully defending his title. Nice way to come back from the Aussie open debacle.

I expected a much tougher match since Cyril Saulnier lost 6 7 6 3 7 6 and 6 7 7 6 6 4 in their last 2 encounters. Andy's serve was on today and he had some incredibly athletic moves on overheads and running down shots.

did anyone watch this on tv? i was busy stringing some racquets for a customer and would have caught the match after i was done. i guess it was a pretty quick final for Roddick then.

You did not miss a thing. One of the worst matches I have seen in a while. Saulnier played terrible, Roddick did his usual number with his two shots.

I guess it is all in the eye of the beholder. Press reports said Roddick played a near flawess first set. I can live with that.
