Verdasco could get a set but I don't think he can win. He's 0-3 against Roddick on hard courts.

wow...I haven't seen Roddick get into the groove with his serve like he has today for a very long time....he is intimidating his opponent the way he did a couple years ago....it's affecting the overall confidence and aggressiveness in his own game and it's instilling a feeling of hopelessness in the fragile pscyhe of Verdasco.

on his return games though, he has decided he is the next Nadal, once again...lol...it's not hurting him though in this match as it has against some other guys, since Verdasco is so inconsistent that he can not take advantage of his advantage in court position.

6-3, 4-3 and Roddick up a break. He certainly should be leading in the stats!

EDIT: about to get even again...

Lets see if Verdasco takes advantage, Verdasco has no power on his first serve.

Its not big, now Roddick is serving for the match, at 5-4, Roddick's draw is wide open with all the upsets, Roddick needs to take advantage.

So what happens if you want to challenge a shot in the middle of a rally? There seemed to be some shots that looked out but there was no call. What do you do then?

You challenge calls. You don't challenge things that weren't "called" anything.

I think Roddick won't have it together enough to do anything exceptional in this event, but I have faith for the future. I am extremely excited for him and for some reason really get into his matches, more than anyone else. I like the guy.

Good job Roddick. Hopefully we'll see a Roddick/Federer semifinal. Those match-ups are usually a great showcase for Federer to show how good he is. Roddick's playing a qualifier next, though nothing is guaranteed as this guy has had some good wins, but I expect him to get through that. However, this has been the trend - Roddick will blow guys away in the first few rounds, then he'll go down.

You can call a shot that wasn't called anything. Verdasco called that one roddick serve that was an ace but after review showed it was a fault.

Granted it was at the end of a point but what happens when there is a questionable call in the middle of a point?

I believe you have to stop playing if you want to challenge a call - just like on clay.
