from the looks of it I think that Roddick has made the jump from pro Hurricane Tour to Luxilon. Thoughts?

May you please explain to me in simple words what the different between Pro Hurricane Tour dyed black and Pro Hurricane Tour black is?

I would have thought it was the same thing.

And your source on this is... dying strings is one of the most preposterous things I've ever heard. Seems like a lot of work... maybe he did switch strings?!

I would imagine he plays the same new Babolat Pro Hurricane strings (in a hybrid at least) as Nadal.

Racket/String companies do silly things when it means selling a new product for a nice profit.
Pro players are usually set in their ways about their gear, especially people like Nadal using the same string since childhood.
We've known they market Pro Hurricane Tour to be Nadal's string which is a 13 or so dollar string compared to the ~5dollar Duralast he really uses. If they are painting Nadal's Duralast Black and calling it Pro Hurricane Tour it would be similar to when Babolat made their ~5 dollar Ballistic string in a Blue color for Andy Roddick and sold Pro Hurricane Blue for twice the cost.
As for Roddick using painted PHT yellow...I dunno why he wouldn't just use the different color if it's just the same string in a new color.
