The arrogance and rudeness of a few can ruin the board for so many (including new members for simply asking basic questions).

You were being rude, and continue to be rude.. what did you expect to happen? You don't have to be disrespectful to a new poster because he hasn't yet logged the hundreds of hours that you have on an insignificant forum such as this; he obviously was curious as to why one of the best players in the world uses them, because hey, maybe there is something to it. Why should he have to search the forum for every question? This forum would be almost dead if no one ever asked questions which have already been previously answered.

So, kindly curb your attitude, and let's keep it clean.

Apparently according to the minority here...
Especially if you step on me without even being provoked...

By the way, do you know the meaning of the expression "troll"?

You were unkind to a fellow poster. That's more than enough provocation.

And are you saying that what you're being is a troll?

I see...you sometimes have hard time comprehending things...
    Let me clarify:
    1) You called me a "troll" up there, I am asking you if you knew what that meant or you just heard it somewhere and use it randomply. I believe I contributed to this forum a bit more than you did so far, though
    2) I was maybe rough on the newbie, but not to the fat guy that decided to voice his attack on me here. Therefore, I may have provoked someone else, not the Donut-guy

I called you a tool. Maybe you misread.

And if that's so, I don't know where the whole thing started. I'll take your word for it, but can we all just be a little kinder to one another? Yourself included.

I'm sorry for all the hate talk. It was out of line for me, but I wanted to defend the people that were being attacked.

Getting back to the subject of this thread: Roger's BLX90

Here is a photo Priority 1 just posted of what I'm assuming is Roger's first batch of the new PS BLX90's

Can someone tell me, was Federer's 2009> racquet bigger in headside (95?) because it appears way bigger in width than, say his 2010/11 bat.

Look about 4 or 5 posts up ;) hehehe

But ya - looks like he's already using the new sticks in off season training - I guess he's trying to get used to the new Amplifeel handle system - ya right!

Hey ericsson, wish I could but I'm a mere mortal like the majority of fans here at the open :)

And sorry if I was a little brusque in my reply on the SW question, I'll try and get it done when I'm back.

    Hey Fabfed,
sorry if this was already discussed, but how much lead is under the headguard?
And are any in the grip or under the butt cap?

Has this been discussed? Is it possible that Federer's racket is like a prostock version that is lighter? Then he can put lead on the head and still keep it at 364. I put a small amount of lead on the head of mine and it shot the weight up to 377.

Yeah, I'm sure his rackets are different from the retail in weight and balance.
From the pictures from Priority 1, it can be seen that long 1/4 inch strips of lead are stretched from almost 10 o clock to 2 o clock.
Say the strings are about 15 grams and also the grip counts for weight, which means on stock rackets, there's room for only 2-4 grams, which is not what is shown in Fed's actual rackets.

1/4 inch lead tape is 1/4 gram pr inch, so no problem there really.

I know! i know 10 yr old kids who have rackets like the pros and come to the court in a RF polo and shorts (no issue with that but read on) and the latest vapor and adjust their bandana like fed and cant hit a ball across the net and complain "im using the same thing and moving my arm the same way as federer"

That description runs down to a healthy chunk on this forum, and a good 30% at my local club. Not just 10 year olds.

No, that's what happens when for some reason every ball boy out there cannot hit a ball to save their lives. It's like all ball boys/girls in the world don't play any tennis. I'm sorry, but it's videos like this that brainwash you into thinking that no one can return ANY ball from a pro. It's BS, these kids just can't play or something. It's like you can't be over a 3.0 to be a ball boy or something. lol Ya, pros hit fast and hard, but they're not gods, come on...

Take a look at how it's done... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlHOCKo3kDA#t=2m35s

I know that I am responding to a very old thread, but James Blake's customizer is Peter Gabriel, which is not a secret, in fact a long time ago Blake's web site mentioned Peter Gabriel as his customizer, also a few years ago the Wall Street Journal wrote an article about customizers including P1, ****, Bosworth, and Gabriel, and listed Blake as a Gabriel client.

Fabfed question, what thickness are the letter inserts?

Question, those 3 leather inserts at the bottom of the racquet head, what is the thickness?

Federer been doing a Wilson 2014 shoot in Indian Wells this week. These pictures from Wilson's facebook with Federer in his Wimbledon 2013 outfit.

A pretty strategic photo, I must say. At first it may not seem like it, but you barely see the racquet he's holding (for 2014) or any real details in the design of his Wimbledon outfit - apart from it being, uh..white as expected. New PJ for 2014?

That's probably because the camera being used for professional shots is not in the same location as the one used to take that facebook pic. Not least because he would hardly be hitting a ball at the side fence.

Also re: his Wimbledon gear.. no biggie either. Other pics of him have him in the outfit - it's no great secret....

I guess the photoshop guys aren't onboard yet. Haha, come on Roger, cover up the gut when you're in for a photoshoot. You're better than that.

    1 - they're ten years old.
2 - a few kid racquets have the "federer" paintjob
3 - they're just kids. cut them some slack.
