I'm sure someone has already asked this, but how and where have you acquired these shoes FabFed? Thanks!

P.S. I'll be posting pics of my personal collection soon. I don't have shoes used by Federer himself like the mighty FabFeb, but I've amassed a pretty good collection of Vapors!

So Roger supposedly signs his old shoes and gives them away to someone who would eventually sell them off to Fabfed, who would take up-close pictures of them and posts them on TTW for us to look at? Couldn't we just google/gettyimage his shoes anyway?

I guess it's about how much disposable income you have. FabFed is obviously financially very well off. If I had unlimited funds I would probably get some custom kicks too.
I have a millionaire friend who buys race-worn Formula 1 drivers helmets. They cost a fortune, but he barely even notices the monetary outlay, so why not.

Man that must be a pretty sweet collection to have. Have you seen a lot of the helmets that he's collected?

Looks like Fabfed is selling all his shoes!

Who knew that the third best collection of Federer footwear in the world resided in Singapore? I'm surprised he didn't want to hold on to his collection but I guess these type of items change hands as people's circumstances change. Even Bjorn Borg nearly sold his own trophies once!

But $18000 for the US Open Vapors?? Really? Good luck with that. I think this is based on the crazy Wimbledon 2012 shoes auction, but that was for charity, hence the outcome.

Interesting. Not sure why, but from his English I was guessing Europe. Maybe Fabfed reached out to Team Fed and made a deal to donate big $$$$ to the Foundation in exchange for gear?

Yeah, given the economy, it might be tough. But there are a lot of huge Fed fans out there, many very affluent.

Powerball and Mega Millions are both way over $100 mil next week...

Oh yeah, if I had all the money one could need, I'd very much be buying all the gear I wanted. I'd probably try to arrange like a one on one meeting with Fed just to hit with him and pick his brain about tennis. That would be such a dream come true.

Well he seems to get whatever's for sale at the Roger Federer shop. Crazy that he asks 14k for the 2011 Australian Open Vapors. Weren't they like 3 or 4k from the RF shop? Right now you can still get the 2012 and 2013 AO shoes for like 3k and the 2011 US OPen Vapors are 5k but nobody is buying them.

Looks like Fabfed is trying to make big bucks just in case there are any rich fans out there. He should've sold right after Wimbledon when the RF fandom was at fever pitch, but good luck to him.

    Slightly OT....

Does anybody have a list of shoe models that Fed wear since 2001? Better yet a pic from each year?

We know the shoes are technically US size 12, but they're clearly wider than normal. Does anyone have a sense of how wide they are?

The best part of Fed's shoe is the carbon fibre shank. I wish this were available on retail shoes!

But they did; at least in a hard court version. The shoe's not green; it's the (blue 'ish) lightning doing that. It's actually somewhere towards a dark gold.
