    Hello all,

there is a strong possibility that I may be able to attend Roland Garros for a couple of days (Men's 1/4 finals, most likely). I was wondering has anyone ever visited, some useful tips, how to get tickets (I see that they are sold out officially, but I can't recall Chatrier ever being completely full). I will probably also need to find some accommodation nearby, and will be coming by train from Brussels, and will need to fly at the return journey.

Thanks for the advice in advance

Quite a few threads on this.......for tickets now you must go to the VIAGOGO site (links direct from the FFT site and the Roland Garros site).

Tons of hotels the huge BUT is that is the start of the tourist season in Oaris and prices are sky high.
Look at apartment rentals where u can get a 5 day stay for around 600€ to €750 for a small one bedroom or studio.

I've read other threads, there was some useful info there as well. I discovered VIAGOGO, although, atm, there are almost no tickets offered, but I guess that could change. Regarding, and I've read that you attended may times, can I ask you is rain a big thing to worry about if I plan to stay two consecutive days in Paris (I know about the refund etc), and second, is it a big risk to buy the tickets ~1 week before attending (when the forecast could become clearer)?

There is no way I will go to the hotel, CS, hostel, or up to 60€ is fine for me... And I will stay 2-3 nights, not more or less.

I found the following, please correct if something is wrong, add if it is missing:

Food: bring your own, plus water (as I understand, it is permissible?)

As for transport, this was a good tip:
"take #10 metro and get off at Boulogne Jean-Juarez instead of the preceding Porte d'Auteuil metro stop and you can enter near Suzanne Lenglen and miss all the crowd and lines waiting to get in the main gate"

Guided tour is good (but unavailable during RG), museum is not (but it will be included in my ticket anyway)

I could also use a tip where to sit in the stadiums, some tips how to bump into Roger :)

Accommodation still remains as an issue, but I'll handle that after I buy the tickets.

I cannot say as yet because I don't know my dates. How would you be selling them?

I think **** would be the best place.
But to be honest with you, even thought I can leave you the womens tickets for the face value price plus any charges **** will charge me, I will looking for some profit on the mens tickets. Just to give you an idea I have four tickets two for the mens final and two for the womens final with a total face value of 546 euros. the tickets are category two.

I have a questions for very knowledgeable people: is it possible to guess, who will play who in the quarterfinals, seedwise? This is my problem: you can only buy tickets for Lenglen OR Chatrier for 1/4s, right? So, what could happen is that I end up watching Murray while Fed plays at the same time on the other court. While I appreciate Murray, and all others, I want to watch Fed live, because I don't know will I have another chance given his age.

So, all in all, who will be the 2nd and 3rd seed by RG, is it possible to assume right now,
    and,
do the seeds 1 and 3 ALWAYS play the same day?

    Thanks

No you can buy tkts for both stadiums........the mens qtrs are on the Tuesday and Wednesday of week 2 unless weather causes issues.

Court assignments are done at the end of the days play - normally by early evening the next days matches planned. If a Frenchman in the Qtrs they will get the main show court -

I didn't understand fully. Say that I am in Paris for 1/4s. What do I need to buy to make sure I get to see Federer, if he gets that far ofcourse?

Purchase both seats for Lenglen and Chatrier.......no other way. Last year Federer played his QF in Lenglen.

There is no set rule as to who plays where and when. The FFT decides which matches play on what court. French players and past champions will get top billing...........Rafa with multiple titles will more likely than not play on Chatrier more often.

I finally found out my schedule. I will be able to attend RG on Mai 31st, June 1st and June 2nd (yey! :)).

Is it possible to figure out what stage of the men's draw should be played on those dates? I see that the prices are very high in June 1-2 (saturday and sunday): 118€ for Chatrier. Why is that?
