Kill me, but I'm gonna say Fed in 2. Something smells like Madrid 2009.

Fed played well this week and Rafita looked very unimpressive aside of the SF where she faced her lapdog.

I only make standard general discussion threads, not any match threads (except Federer-Paire cause surprisingly everyone thought the result of a SF match was a foregone conclusion). You can join in the fun if you like but make a match thread 30 seconds early and be sure to make a journey to bancity.

To me Federer can go out and lose 6-2 6-2, I just want him to get out on court with a positive attitude. If he starts thinking to himself "well I'm 32 this guy is fairly young, it's a slow clay court" he can already pack his bags. Believe in victory.

It seemed Fed was really on this tournament but against Paire he looked ordinary.
I'll have to say Nadal in two but wouldn't mind being surprised. :)

One of the additional problems for Federer is that this week, Nadal's faced people who he usually beats by virtue of match-up, and he's done well against them. Federer's last two opponents have either upped their game since last meeting or never played.
Fed showed that he can overcome unexpected challenges; when he faces Nadal, it's the same challenge for the thirtieth time...

Yeah, it sucks because the prior week is no indication. Fed looked fairly sharp most of the week, not dropping a set; Nadal looked not to be his best on clay, being tested by Gulbis and even Ferrer, who hadn't trouble Rafa on clay at all till this month.

But things changed a bit today and you can just imagine Rafa coming out fired up to play Fed and Roger being desperate from the start and overplaying. Roger needs to trust himself to play some of those rallies, try to pick on Rafa's backhand and serve smart. If he can hold those service games, who knows what will happen in a tiebreak.

If RF plays like he did today and yesterday: 6-1 6-0 nadal
If RF plays like he did vs simon: 6-3 6-1 nadal
If Nadal plays like he played the 1st set vs Berdych : 6-0 6-0
If Nadal plays like he played gulbis: 6-3 6-3 nadal

To sum up: if federer serves well he'll lose decently.
Otherwise, aka ******** mode, he'll be spanked by nadal

Other option (improbable): god mode federer for victory.
    I pick this option.

I have tipped Nadal but if Federer serves well he has a chance! Isner showed at the French Open in 2011 that with a huge serve, and exceptional bounce you can rush Nadal even on a clay court! In that match Isner became the only player in history to take Nadal to 5 sets at the French Open

Believe me I'm not bitter. Just astounded that you're actually serious. Hilarious and rather scary at the same time..... part of my hopes this is one long fishing trip. I guess some people take the Internet rather seriously and seem to believe in levels of authority on things like tennis forums. Chill dude. You need to chill.

Anyone think the King will win in under an hour?

He looked ruthless out there today, and Federer nowhere near as sharp as before.

Actually scratch that, I forgot about service rituals. :)

I hope RFederer fans bring some of those "Pray for RF" posters. Then it'll be really amusing to see them cry in front of RNadal giving his little pony another pummeling humiliation in front of the tennis world again. :p

lol, it took fed around 54 minutes when he cleaned up rafa 6-3,6-0 at the YEC in 2011.

this match on clay won't get over before an hour and 15 minutes at the very least ( barring retirement )
