haven't tried rubber bands. been to lazy to go out and buy em. do they actually work well? are there any noticable differences compared to lets say..a sampras O dampener?

I was having trouble with a dampener on my 18x20 93sq in Redondo because it pushed my middle strings apart too much and drained feel and power. I saw this thread a few days ago and I thought I'd give it a try and voila... it's my new dampening method of choice.

no, that would not be legal, but who cares, if you like it there then leave it there until it becomes a problem at a tournament or something of that nature...i seriously doubt anyone would ever notice that anyway...

When you guys tie on the rubber band, how tight do you tie it? Are the mains supposed to be bending towards each other?

wow you must tying it really tight, i suggest tying it looser than that but, enough to that it'll stay on securely and you'll lose the vibration

My mains bend towards each other, I tie it on pretty tight.

    its the n6.1 team

its 95" 18x20 but is 30-50grams lighter overall and has an even balance, which is why i put a leather grip on it and a 20c coin underneath

you should see them everywhere if your from melb ;p i think the aus and european ones are diff from usa
