Hi there, I am going on a look-see trip out west to Sac. Hubby got offered a job in Rancho Cordova and will probably live in the area. Being here in NJ, I play indoor in the winter, and I see that SpareTime racket club in Gold River has indoor facilities. Also interested in just looking at country clubs -- I saw Arden Hills web site and it looks interesting. Anyone have any input? Other suggestions? I am a solid 4.0 player. I really enjoy weekly doubles drills/lessons as well as day leagues.

    Thanks :)

Gold river is a nice club, i love playing there. Sparetime has many clubs in the area too. I think theres a sierra view country club.

I don't play at the clubs, mostly just public courts in Fair Oaks, Sacramento, Davis and Antelope. There's a fair amount of them all over the place really. Generally speaking you can pretty much play outside all year around except for the occasional rain.

Theres one hidden club Sutter Lawn-oldest tennis facility in all of Sacramento-has small restaurant , worth a call,,Stan Smith picture is on the wall. usta challengers was played there for years, moved it to Natomas Racket Club(part of spare time) then to another facility not a part of spare time, big full facility, pool, gym, lots of tennis Courts, snack bar. Last I heard the tennis chief there played challenger matches on the pro circuit at one time. If you need private lessons call Carmichael Park, leave a message ,usta certified instructor available.
