    Hi,

I just wondererd if anyone saw the match yesterday.

It was a great match and even though the first set lasted 1 hour 30, I still really enjoyed the play. I constantly found myself with my mouth open in amazement.

The spin that Massu was generating was scary and was really noticeable on camera and he kept getting the ball in. This ment that we got to see Safins beautiful strokes. It was a surprise if a point lasted less than 15 shots!

One of the best matches that I have seen in a long time.

Henman V Zabaleta was also a good one.

What did you think of the match?

yea, i only saw the the end of the first set i think. it was deuce with massu serving. his first serve on the left side was wicked! it pulled safin off the court so far, that he had to sprint back to where he originally was.

Safin's strokes were great even though i was kinda scared i guess u could say because on his backhands, he lifted both legs in a strange manner.

    great match nonetheless.

I saw the majority of the first set. It was insane, the greatest clay tennis I've seen recently. Massu was standing way out wide on the ad-side, and hitting this insane kicker, Safin would literally return it from the side wall practically. It was so crazy, and there was literally nothing you could do to stop it. Amazingly though, Safin would still win a lot of those points. The rallies were great. So long, such huge strokes off both sides, Massu is really tough, Safin we all know about. Safin hits huge, yet still keeps it in all the time, don't know how it's possible.

At like 3-3 or so in the first set, Safin was really suffering from his foot blisters, like falling down, hitting funky, it was weird. He seemed to recover though. And that first set, like 1 h 30 mins, every game went to like multiple deuces it seems, wow.

The thing that really impressed me was the spin that Massu was generating.

No joke it was about as high as Safins shoulders and we all know how tall he is!

I don't like Massu but the tennis I saw was second only to last years French Open final! ( I wonder why that was  )

Cause they were hitting so consistently with so much pace to all corners and angles of the court. It was the best clay tennis I've seen all year, thats for sure.
