I agree, i just felt like the reflection from the light can't make a string look that yellow. this string was as bright yellow as the Pro hurr tour.

Ron strings for him, you knucklehead....no one else does. I think Ron at P1 knows what Safin is using....is that good enough for a clever folk?

    Hey Ron,

I spent 3 1/2 years in Europe and where you are now. If you and your crew want to get away if you have some downtime one afternoon, hop on the train by the Casino in Monte Carlo and head to a town called Villefranche Su Mer. It is about a 15 minute ride to the coolest of towns. There is a small outside joint that sells some of the best American hamburgers you will find. Guy is in the center of the courtyard by the water by the big stairs. He has some triangular signs out front. Burgers will taste as if you grilled them yourselves in your backyard.

Also, a few hundred meters to the East of that joint is a cool little bar with a French dude that speaks perfect English and loves American blokes. He has his bar adorned with American military garb, has a few pool tables there, sells some American domestics at a cheap rate, and will listen to any American for as long as they will talk. Place is quiet and you guys can relax if you need to unwind from the fast pace surrounding Monaco/Monte Carlo...

Let me know if you find the place. I have photos of me at the burger joint.

Ron does not work in the stringing room. They work out of their hotel rooms. The gentleman claimed to see generic lux bags? Yellow string? Maybe Safin did have his sticks strung up from a previous tournament...but considering the last tournament was a MS event and Ron and Nate strung his sticks there, I don't see anything indicating Marat had anything in his sticks from the previous tournament other that what P1 put in them at the previous MS tournament.

And to answer your posed question to me--I'm not trolling. But of your 10,000 posts, most of them are just mind-boggling. Sorry, but it is REALLY difficult to decipher when you are being genuine and or just padding your post count....

He could be where Nando has his rackets strung--but not where Marat had his strung. He also mentioned the strings were 'rough'...what the hell?!

Where did he claim to be exactly? He obviously was not in the hotel room of P1 as they do not do Nando's sticks. He was not in the stringing room as they do not do Marat's sticks.

So, you believe him. Where was he? When was he there? And, how can you confirm this.

I was at the North Pole this morning--can you confirm it? I said it...so it must be real, right?

I have NO idea where he was. I am sure he was in the stands, 50 feet away. and he too saw a Yellow string just like i saw on TV. So I don't know what string it was, all i know is that it is Yellow. but if Ron said it is just a BB, the i am sure he is right.

I am busting your chops because let's get real for a moment. The guy said their strings were rough...the only way you know that is to be in the stringing room and if you are educated on strings. IF he was the real deal, he would have known Marat's stringing does not happen in the site's stringing room during a MS event...

Only on a board filled with a bunch of self absorbed players would you get 4 pages of threads trying to hassle someone who knows what he saw and then try to kiss Ron Yu's patootie at the same time! what a great thread..I hope FEDACE turns out to be right and it is a new string....GO FEDACE GO!

I am not saying he is lying-but I am saying you may have assumed he was a stringer at the site.

    Look...

Safin is paying premium dollar for premium service with P1. Safin also is on record for complaining about the cost of strawberries in England. I highly doubt that if he is worried about the cost of a berry--that he is going to go outside of P1 and pay a stringer in the stringing room to throw in some top-secret 'experimental' Lux string.

Unlike Rafa at the AO, you never see Safin giving out sticks to the ballboys during a semi-final because the tension is wrong because of different stringers on different machines with different techniques.

And...if there is an experimental Lux string out there--I would safely assume Ron and P1 have it and Marat could have them install it under their contract.

^^Like i said, i am sure Ron knows what he is talking about and he is right about it being BB. but why don't you ask him why that string look so Yellow in the sunlight. No other string i know has this effect. and the prototype string from Lux must have been in the stringing room if that other guy really saw it..

I agree 100%. Tone it down, Saram. Fedace might not be the most intelligent poster here, but he is a good guy. Has he ever, even once, been rude to you? Sure his ignorance might annoy us to no end, but your responses really are just flat-out immature.

So to prove any point, does anybody have a picture? I love Lux, if there's a new string I want to try it when it releases.

I don't have a pic either. I only saw the string on TV when Safin was playing. and email from the Luxilon just said there is a new string coming out and didn't really make a comment that that was what Safin was using. so i can't confirm or deny that what Safin was using was the new string. Certainly Luxilon didn't say anything about what Safin was using.

Fedace, I can't help but notice that you completely disregard knowledgeable sources, but then one random person comes along and makes a comment that agrees with what you are saying, then all of a sudden their word becomes law. There are times that you just need to give up. You don't have any evidence except one person who made a comment that cannot be verified, while there have been very convincing arguments against that claim. If everything you says is true, then we will all be proved wrong. For now, if all you can give us is that you saw a mysterious "best string ever" on TV in Safin's racquet, especially when his personal stringer says otherwise, just give it up man.

^I already said this in case you haven't read it. I am sure Ron is correct in saying he strung Safin's racket with BB. I completely BELIEVE him.

What do you think of the 4D 500 tour? I liked it a lot more (two hour demo) than the regular Aerogel 500 tour.

When I watched the Safin meltdown against Lapentti,

Safin's strings looked bright yellow. Then I realized that he looked bright orange. I adjusted the color on my TV and eveything looked normal again, and Safin was still choking away the match. He actually looked red, but his strings looked natural in color, except for the stencil. And then he destroyed his frame, as usual, and it was red, white and black with a blue grip and specs of orangish clay. 'Twas a pity.

    I love this thread.
