If you're a USTA member, you already get this glossy little re-do of the old Tennis Week magazine. This month's issue has a very good interview with Pete Sampras, who reveals the mechanics of how he ended up playing with his current frame (asked Wilson to send him Fed's frame), his current Luxilon + nat gut string preference, and how he wishes he'd been more open to changing to a larger-headed frame during his career, but he was "too stubborn" to change. Just to show you how sensitive players at this level are to their gear, he claims to get lots more power from his current frame set-up than what he once played with! Good piece.

It's the July issue of Tennis Week. They're gonna have to change the mag's title because I think it's published only eight times a year.

The results and ease at which he's hitting the passing angles off his back hand these days say it all. His current setup's sweet spot is roughly 4x larger than what he used to hit with. A lot less shanks from Sampras lately than he had overall in his prime.

"K90" under N90 PJ. Strung with feds setup for string minus the string savers and tension. Don't know what tension he uses.

Why would they make sampras use a PJ. Is he still under a contract or something?

They sent him Fed's batch before Fed officially used a K90 pj.

ok, they just havn't updated the PJ to the K90, i dunno if they are going to0...

The make up is a "k90" released years ago for fed. Just recently they released the frame to the public and called it the "k90" I had to use something as a reference so you knew what i was talking about.

"Roger will kill my GS record, because he uses a larger racquet head then the one I used."

PS: He's talking about 5 sq inches, btw.
