My guess is he's using the Blade 98 now.
The new ProStaff 93 Basalt Sampras stick will surely revolutionize the sport as the KPS 88 did.
Kids will say "Sampras who? Is he Roger's hitting partner or something?"
or the kids will say...
"sampras who ?..is he bartoli's hitting partner or something".
Until they rename Rod Laver Arena to Pete Sampras Arena
...in the year 2050.
what's he doing with Bartoli anyway?? and who is that kid?? Pete's secret love child with the housekeeper, a la the Governator?
Pretty sure the photos were taken at the Bank of the West tournament at Stanford back in July. Bartoli was in the draw, and Sampras played an exhibition match (and that looks like the benches on the Stanford practice courts).
Yea like I wrote somewhere else in a recent interview Sampras said that if he were playing today, he'd use a larger racquet and different strings, to paraphrase they asked him if he'd still be a serve and volleyer, he said "I only have one gear, I wouldn't change", they said "What about the big hitting baseliners with big racquets", he said "I'd have a big racquet and big strings also, if someone wants to stay back I lick my chops".
Looks like "Ram-pras" has gone to Babolat also, copying Sampras once again.
"I'd have a big racquet and big strings also, if someone wants to stay back I lick my chops". .... and get destroyed with today's court speeds
LOL totally Ramified
Doesn't look like the LTD edition PST, though. Isn't that what Sampras is playing with nowadays?
How often does anyone ever get to see Ram-pras play on TV? Could of swore he wasn't using a Babolat the last time I saw him play, not all that long. I know he was using Head for a while.
Maybe it's an APD with a Head PJ that he's using now.
Nope, saw him playing this week with a Babolat paintjob.
Thats an Aero Storm that Ram is using.
