Will be in town then and looking for anyone in the area interested in hitting.
Last time in town hit some at Balboa Park.
    Looking for 4.0+ players.
I am rated 5.0, but closer to a low end 4.5 currently
PM me if interested. Staying near Convention Center.

Let me know if you can travel to the La Jolla area and slightly north of it. I can organize a couple of 4.5+ posters on here to play with you at my club and of course I will be there too

Thanks. I won't have a car, but if light rail or bus can get me there and back I'll do it.
    Hope it can work.

Coaster (light rail) might work. The Santa Fe Depot station is close to the Convention Center, and the destination would be the Sorrento Valley station. Picking up/dropping off from there is a 10 minute drive from the courts.

If you need a fourth for doubles, let me know. 4.5 here but a mix of 4.0 and 4.5 is fine.

    - -

To the OP, there is a doubles challenge court (court #9) that runs 7 days per week at BTC (Balboa Tennis Club) located at Morley Field. Huge variety of abilities and styles.

The ultimate doubles challenge court (Court #8 ) - for minimum 4.5 level doubles players - is active on Saturday morning and afternoon only. Ask the desk for instructions about picking up a ticket.

Also many guys standing around that would hit singles with you... expecially if your strokes are 4.0+

IIRC, the daily playing fee for BTC is $6 per day

Always at Balboa... as I live a mile from the courts :)

There are 25 courts, so there's usually never an issue of reserving

You are lucky. Actually, I think you have told me this before some time.

Is (I 15, 56 exit) too far for you?

Thanks Bud. I did Balboa 3x last time in town, the challenge court was ok, but sometimes had to stand around 1 hr before playing, managed to find a few hits then. Will try again, when in town.
    Looking forward to the trip.
    Thanks guys.
