what's the worst that can happen if i string my racquet without grommets?
You'll never get to a fully strung racquet w/o grommets. The graphite edges will cut your strings when you try to tension the string.
Thanks, that's what I thought until I saw a bunch of racquets strung up without grommets at a thrift shop.
certain frames are meant to be strung without grommetts. one that comes to mind is the NXG series frames from prince, which are manufactured without grommets to transfer more feel to the player. this is nullified by the air handle, which makes no sense, but still.
and the great max 200g
does anyone know if the donnay graphite borg can be strung w/o grommets?
