It's great how they fixed some of the lag in HD but now the stream occassionally crashes and is "off the air temporarily"

He was probably referring to when he was top 20 (in 2002?), but forgot to add 'he used to be'. He mentioned that he used to be 19th in the first set.

Well, you've to take the humor in his commenting or it gets to be a headache. Way too much talking during the point. I don't need you to reconstruct the point for me. I am watching. *sigh*

Seffina, that is what he does. He does www.radiotennis.com so he usually has no visual feed going out to viewers. so he has to construct the point 1 shot at a time. Imagine a tennis broadcast with NO pictures.

One win's not going to do much. If he advances to the quarters he'll move up a few notches.

I did that once - I couldn't watch at work, so I listened to the Andy v. Andy Wimbledon 09 semifinal on Wimbledon Radio. Kind of surreal.

Raonic will probably move up a couple spots, but as was mentioned this one win won't do all that much for him.

Easier to do when there's not much threat from the opponent, but Nishikori looking very good right now.

Nishikori looks ok but I worry that he's a WTA type of player. One style, hit it at 100mph, bash the ball etc. I wonder how he'd fare if Hajek throws in a few slices and dropshots...

Hajek is playing much smarter now and Nishi has dropped in intensity. As you said, Haji gave him too much rythm to work with.

Hmm.... definitely a weakness to the Nishikori game - he cannot consistently hit down the line especially on the FH side.

Thanks for the link - that sticky is very informative and helpful! But sometimes instead of conducting research you just want to pop in and say "hey, what's going on" and talk to people about upcoming matches.

I wonder what memorable quotes or words of wisdom the commentator will have when Del Potro is playing.

Klahn and Thacher wins the 1st round doubles.....Uh oh this means they may have to skip another dual meet on Friday against #46 BYU. that could hurt us.

it's weird, but the stream i was watching went down, so i switched to one on LSH, and i could hear that ken thomas commenting, but then that stream went down, and now the only one available is one without commentary ...... for tonight I'd rather hear him than nobody! :(

Berankis is playing Donald Dung, i hope Berankis gives him a good spanking so that tennis's next great hope can ride off into the sunset with his tail between his legs.

Young played a loose service game to hand over the first set. Berankis playing way better than him at the mo.. Hitting a far heavier ball than Youngie.

I'm no fan but Young really needs some serious coaching if he is to move further in his career. His movement sucks for a guy that is quick, and seems to lack court sense out there.

Anyone notice that the ballgirls/people in this tournament are terrible? There this one knob who keeps strolling along slowly when the players are ready to play, another who is throwing the ball overhand (which is stupid) across the court to another equally spastic ballgirl. Awful and cringe inducing.

No talk about Murray being destroyed today? I didn't see the match, anyone see it? Was he just overly pushing it? Even on the serves.... starting out right away on the defense?

    Anybody watching Berankis vs. Young?

Young came back from 2-4 in the 2nd to take the set 7-5...Berankis is falling apart. Looks like Young is getting in his head a bit...
