water it...a tree will usually be okay if it has enough water.

Call your city hall. They typically have an arborist on staff that can answer your questions. They may even stop by to look at the tree and give free advice.

Maybe if you ask it nicely, it will move to a shadier spot. I'm certain he is just depressed and needs to be closer to his kind. Hobbits make fine company, but can really get on one's nerves, as you are likely aware, and you've probably given this fellow more attention than he can take.

Hey sweetie, fertilizers are made up of 3 main chemicals and they are indicated by the numbers that are usually dispalyed in such manner as 15-8-13 or so. The numbers represent nitrates, potassium and sulphate. More of one and less of the other gives more bloom and less foliage and vice versa. So you got to juggle the numbers to maintain food for the leaves and so on.
But i am no expert ,so here`s the link

ivy: I had the same problem---the leaves on my lemon tree became yellow as well.

Simple "solution" (pun intended): CHLORINE BLEACH.

Douse (saturate) the base of the tree daily with gallons upon gallons of very strong chlorine bleach. Believe me Ivy, there's nothing that'll get the yellow out better than chlorine bleach. Repeat this for a month or so then let me know how you made out.
