Is there a way that I can search an individual player's tournament experience/results on USTA's site?

There may be an easier way to do it, but one way is to find a tournament the player played (or is scheduled to play) in. Find the players name in the draw and click on it. It will show his past tournament result over several years.

if you put their name in tennislink it will show league & tournament results for the current year, you can also choose a year and review if they have played over a longer period of time

As the question is about tournament records, the player should have a ranking. Find the player here http://tennislink.usta.com/tournaments/rankings/rankinghome.aspx. As long as you know the section or district s/he plays in, and the level, you can get the rankings and filter by name. Then clicking on the person's name will show their record.

Just go to the USTA Homepage, and enter their name in the search field at the top right corner of the page.

You can go to the "Rankings / Standings" area in their section and click on their name provided you know the age group or NTRP they play.

You could also try this old website...
    www.tennisinformation.com
click "find a player" under the "tournaments" grouping, enter a last name, select a year, click search.
