I will be in Seattle for a few weeks of December. I remember the weather being nothing short of miserable.

Is there any way for me to find a bit of tennis to play during such a period? That climate doesn't favor the sport of tennis at all. Are there any hardcore players who continue to play outdoors in those conditions? Or are there any indoor courts around? And if so, what is the price tag for a few hours of play on them?

Negate the above post. Indoor tennis takes over for tounaments and League play -- which the very competitive player will compete in. Seattle has one of the larger USTA League turnouts in the nation per capita. The Amy Yee Tennis Ctr is the largest public indoor facility in Seattle. Most players belong to a plethora of clubs that offer indoor cts. Nordstrom Tennis Ctr - Bellevue Club-Pro Club etc. The rates for play are $10 per 1 hr 15 min per player for Singles. I tend to watch the Doppler radar to see if there is any rain comming and will play outside under the lights during these months. Seattle actually gets less rain than NYC or Miami.
