oh well i found my errors...the own Aggies site...gives the wrong stats on the season..it is from 2013....

Efferding/Szabo win nearly everything in doubles
#2 doubles is also great, they nearly never lose
#1 doubles is even ranked on 6 in the nation (or sth like that)
has A&M lost any doubles point aside of the Ole Miss crackdown?

A&M is very tough to beat, they win the doubles mostly and can field 3 good ranked players in singles. You need to get at least 1 singles point from 1 to 3, #1 is still the weak spot, cause other teams have other good players on #1, Vinsant on #2 and Efferding on #3 are nearly unbeatable in SEC. #4 with Ore is the weak spot, #5 and #6 could be beaten, but with their depth it is still tough, you need a lot good depth to beat A&M.

Looks like LSU will post a 4-0 shutout in the next 15 minutes. The only individual match that was the same as Saturday was at #5 singles between den Toom and Kennedy. den Toom won 6-1 6-2 on Saturday and today Kennedy leads 7-6 2-2

but kennedy and/or trinh just need to win the 2nd set in any ways to secure the overall win, but Simpson and Korinek are a break down in 3rd set

    Today's Matches

Ole Miss beat Tennessee 4-1 on March 7th in Knoxville though the match ups at 1, 2, and 6 will likely be different this time around and possibly 3 and 4 as well. I expect Tennessee to take the doubles point again today and think Libietis wins at 2 and Sawicki at 6. Scholtz should beat Reese and Jorge should beat Dromsky. 3 & 4 could come down to the match ups. I'll go with Tennessee 4-2.

    Box Score from March 7th
    Ole Miss 4 Tennessee 1
    Singles
    1. #32 Mikelis Libietis (UT) vs. #36 Nik Scholtz (OM) 6-7 (5-7), 4-4, unfinished
    2. William Kallberg (OM) def. #21 Hunter Reese (UT) 6-4, 6-4
    3. Brandon Fickey (UT) vs. Johan Backstrom (OM) 2-6, 6-3, 0-3, unfinished
    4. Stefan Lindmark (OM) def. Jarryd Chaplin (UT) 6-2, 6-1
    5. Ricardo Jorge (OM) def. Andrew Dromsky (UT) 7-6 (7-4), 6-1
    6. Vinod Gowda (OM) def. Markus Kerner (UT) 6-2, 6-3

    Doubles
    1. #2 Mikelis Libietis/Hunter Reese (UT) def. Stefan Lindmark/William Kallberg (OM) 8-5
    2. Andrew Dromsky/Markus Kerner (UT) def. Nik Scholtz/Ricardo Jorge (OM) 8-4
    3. Johan Backstrom/Joe Rogers (OM) def. Bartosz Sawicki/Jarryd Chaplin (UT) 8-6

TN rolling at #2D which is surprising, looks like #1 and 3 will be tight.
Granted TN has better doubles player at #2 with Chapin who volleys great and S&V

**Ole Miss faltering at #1 and #3 after being up a break on both cts

They could, they won the Regionals back in the fall before Kallberg injury, they could make a small run but need to get in first.

3 first sets rebels, 2 for vols (both in tiebreakers) #6 singles is 5-5, gowda lead 5-3 there, hope this will not change the momentum, vols got lucky here, were in danger to lose all 6 sets

Scholtz wins the breaker 10-8, after reese had set point on own serve.
    3-2 Rebels now
    But Gowda just got broken
and lindmark still needs to serve for a 2nd set tiebreaker

Two third sets will decide it. Wonder if Lindmark can bounce back like he did last week against A&M? And Vinod has been here before and it didn't go his way. Maybe this time?

i think it will be now very tough for the rebels
they lead this match for good and could not close it out and also lost 3 of 4 breakers
would be very mad, if they lose this and then the ita/ncaas not put them into the tournament
they deserve, also their season was sometimes very frightening:shock:

Lindmark faced three break points and held then broke. 2-0. See if he can finish.

Lindmark fighting off those 3 break points at 4-5 in the 2nd and then in the first game of the 3rd had to be huge for his confidence. Very nice win for Ole Miss. I originally thought they'd win 4-3 but then talked myself out of it thinking they couldn't possibly take doubles.

They are in the NCAA's now for sure because they'll move up at least 5 spots in the rankings and maybe a few more - I have them at 37 as of this minute.

South Carolina takes the doubles point and leads at 4, 5, and 6 singles but Bama is up at 1, 2, and 3.

ole miss vs uk tomorrow could be close
also i feel uk will win it
    they should win it
but rebels are on a roll
the game last time was 4-1 UK in LExington indoors, but uk won 3 of 4 tiebreakers and a set 7-5, it was close !
Backstrom had set points in that one and Kallberg had even match points.

Yes, a win over Kentucky would likely have them in the top 30 - right around 29.
