I recently changed the technique for my serve and am now serving bombs, but i am unsure of what to do on my second serve, i double fault way too much. Most of the time i hold back quite a bit on my swing to get it in, but it is still not consistent enough. Any tips?

    Cheers

the 2nd serve is not a slower swing serve. you should simply change the contact point of the ball so it's more slice than plow through. Actually trying to slow down your swing is prob the cause of your inconsistent 2nd serve.

Learn a kick serve. It'll give you enough margin for error and it'll keep people from sitting on it.

Cheers for the feedback guys/girls, aaah i didnt know this, i suppose these are the kind of things coaches teach you. I know im sounding precise but is there any way u could put that into more detail, or is it basically a slice serve that i should be using on a 2nd serve?

    Cheers

Learn to add topspin to your serve. Get rid of the pattycake serve.

As others have pointed out, >>>>Learn to hit your serve with spin.

Sounds like my dubs partner...rips nasty bombs but so insecure about his 2nd serve and double faults a lot.

You'll just have to learn spin if you want a decent one.
