prostaff was barely alive before wilson wisely said...we can rebuild it... we have the technology, we have the capability to build a bionic 85... better, faster, stronger....the six million dollar 85's!

A guy at my tennis club here in Japan uses a Toalson mid that looks exactly like a blue ps85, with pws and everything. I will try to get a pic.

I didn't know those Donnay's came in different colors. Mine used to be black with red/dark blue/light blue accents.

It weighs around 12.4-12.5 oz, head size says 90 but closer to 85. Balance of 5-6 pts headlight. I heard it was softer than the PS 6.0 but can't confirm that one.

Hi Plasma, you seem to have quite a collection going there !!
Just seen you've got your hands on some 300i's. This is probably my favourite racquet (I have 5 of them), I really like the 200G but this even better, it's chunkier and firmer, a great combination !!!

they don't even make 85's anymore, that sting is invaluable to those who really enjoy olds school tennis and not trampoline ball! loaned a mint vincent and a sting 2 to a "friend" who I haven't seen in several years. Guess the friendship and me helpin him get back on his feet was only worth 170 square inches!!!...lol

next time a friend needs an 85, I'll just quoute obie one: "may the force be with you,"

How does the Jack Kramer Prostaff play, the red one, comparative to the 6.0 original? Anyone got any specs on it?

    Plasma's Brief Review of Kramers:
this Kramer is totally different than the Prostaff. Flexible, soft, sweet and forgiving:

I had two kramer staffs in highschool and I hated it. It felt like a PS85 that was used so much that all the fibers wore down. It was too flexible and it never felt sweet like the PS85

hey soy, that 85 Donnay is not worth too much to collectors. Unless your lucky enough to find a sad lonely one who actually desperately looks for European midsizes from this era like they were precious family photos....pls contact me...
