I am trying to keep my arms loose and relaxed on the serve, and am able to get to the position as in the Samprac pic below: But after this, my arm position remains high. I am having trouble getting the arm to come down and finish correctly -- low and across the body. I suspect that it is because my arm is too tense (even though I am trying to stay loose). On the times where I do follow through correctly, I notice the serve has significantly more power, so it definitely makes a difference. My understanding is that if the arm is relaxed, it will naturally come down to the low follow through after contact with the ball? I think maybe I am tensing up a bit after contact. Any tips on getting to the proper low relaxed follow through position after contact?
