Service grip

    Hello, I am wondering what grip to use to serve very hard flat serves... I use this grip, im wondering if its correct

    LOL when I saw the photos I thought I was looking at my own arm for a split second.

    But on topic:

    You should use Continental for flat serves. It looks like this:

    For spin serves, you can use Continental for ease of contact, or you can use a grip closer to Eastern Backhand for more spin. Eastern Backhand looks like this:

    Learn to use the continental grip for all serves.

    And also, never hold the racket like a hammer (picture one). Spread the fingers out on the grip like on picture 2 and just hold it like that in a continental grip.

    You can use that grip for all serves.

    Ok so yeah I do continental for both serves now. All I did was spread my fingers abit away from the hammar.

    You can also use the eastern BH grip for kick/topspin serves as post #2 stated.

    A grip change means rotating the racquet in your hand... not simply spreading your fingers.

    For your spin serve looks like your shifting the wrong way lol. You go from a continental grip on your flat to a cont/eastern forehand grip on your spin. To generate even more topspin I shift my grip over to almost an eastern backhand grip.
