I recently purchased a re-release Pro Staff 85 and strung it at 58 lbs, my usual tension. I have to say that the racquet played somewhat like a trampoline.

Now I've read on these forums that the original advertised tension was much higher than the currently advertised (50-60), something like 55-70 lbs.

Can someone set the record straight on this? :)
Because I am seriously considering re-stringing at 65 lbs.

I've played it with natural gut and syn guts at 65-70 and soft poly's at 60. Feels good around those tensions for me.

Thanks, that confirms a bit what I've been thinking... I have it at 58 pounds with syn gut, so I can definitely go higher.
