Seems our WO presenter Vijay Amritraj called Jack Sock "Jock Sack" a few days back by mistake.

Also he called Pospisil something he says he can't repeat which i guess must be popsickle :D

Sock and Pospisil winning is a pleasant moment, indeed!

Reminded me of the old chestnut from Michael Franks..."Popsicle Toes"!

"You've got the greatest North America..." Talking about his gf's body with the frigid toes!

Friday, I watched Rodge's versus Milos with delight. Today, I was optimistic till the very end. Hopefully, Rodge will get his 18th at the USO (I will be there most probably depending on time constraints). Allez!

At least Rodge said, ''see you next year'', so he is coming back till 2016 as he had and has always maintained.

Got rogered by the heat !

After several days of cool, rainy days but no running due to the Wimbly's, today could not wait any longer. Clear skies and hot ! Legs were great to start with but the heat Djokovic'ed me by 30 and i was done by 35 mins.

Looks like the coming week is gonna be sunny and 40's (C).

Make sure you hit 8888 posts by the time the USO finals is played with Rodge in the final.

By 2020, I doubt Rodge vision would be 20/20.

Only 39 by then, EagleEye will still be sharp.

As to the post count, "8" is of significance at USO; "6" and "18" come in play. Perhaps I can get to 10K to match a 10th HC slam title. That's a heavy load in 2 months!

    Pospìsil; great Czech basketball player

    Havlik/Bobrovny,Brabenec,Pospisil,Kropilak and Skala

Yet, the Yougo,Soviets and in the middle Italic and Spanic teams were good enough to deprive them of a better record

and so was the US plagued Israel team

Yes, once upon a time, Israel had a wonderful basketball team, with some NBA old glories in their starting five: Aroesti,Berkowitz,Silver/Boatwright,Perry and Earl Williams.

I had a most delightful evening working last night. I tried to watch the WC SF but left home b4 extra time, having a strong suspicion it would wind up nil-nil (how Nostradamian of me!). Then, I approached the "hit zone" from a different route, passing by a trolley stop where an obvious futbol fan was watching the HD monitor inside the bar across the street.

EZRiderTom (Senti's new name 4 me; likey!!!): is it penalty kicks?

    Waiting Man: Yes!

    EZRT: Who's ahead?

    WM: Argentina 3-2.

    EZRT: One miss, no?

    WM: Argentina just won.

    EZRT: Bummer!

So, I left that stop and two blocks later passed a couple of Scottish lads (20's) who at first were content to walk but, at a traffic light pause, EZRT asked if they had just watched the game. "Aye!", they chimed in unison and then decided to join me for the short ride to their hotel. The best five-minute ride EVER. Nice chat, a huge tip and another bit of chat at the hotel lobby door. They are here for 2 weeks!

I thought my night was done a bit later but I hung in there and two hours or so later, I hear a shout-out from a side road and turn around...

EZRT: Were u yelling at me?

Guy 1 (two couples): Yeah, we need a ride to Red Lobster.

EZRT: They may be closed (it was 10pm by then) but I know a place nearby there that's better.

    Guy 2: Let's go!

I was right, they ate at my suggested place, loved it, bought me to-go dinner and rode back! They are here til Saturday!

    Loving every minute of it!

It's awfully hot, and now muggy here as well. Just survived a 40 minute run the other day.

But have some vids to share with you... Hope they come through.

Please try the vid again, Saint Tom, it's showing up fine here, and takes me aaaaggggeees to load. The other vid I am uploading is timing out.

Yesterday did 45 mins (very humid but not as suffocating as the previous day). I had hoped to do 70 minutes this month, once, but looks like I may not even touch 60 in this weather.

Those little pups have now begun chasing me around a bit. One of them was nipping me in the leg as I was going through that forest for my run :D

    Dear things. Nature is awesome.

    Don't you have a desktop/ laptop ?

Shucks, then how come you saw the earlier vids I posted ?

This is weird, the day i run it is hot and muggy, the day i don't it rains and is cool. If i had gone on a run today, instead of yesterday, i could have done an extra 15 or 20 mins easy.

The big one is the mother. She is a very fierce, fearless Mum, who won't allow any dogs near her pups no matter how big or aggressive they are.

There are two pups from her previous litter who are now almost a year old (I have posted pics of them earlier -- a boy and a girl) both dear friends of mine.

This place in near my house, it's an unkempt forest-like area, used more as a thorough-fare. I walk through this to another park where I run.

No laptop/computer...on the list but business investments(?) are first to feed dogs and myself. Right now, a stationary weather front is pounding us with prolonged rains that kill my biz.

Your previous posts were stills of the dogs...remember the man with the blue pants?

I love running a lot, otherwise there's no point in doing it 5 times a week. However, it would seem (to me) that running is your lifeline?

Do get better soon and RUN!

I was out of cycling for two days last week...dangerously dehydrated one night and it left my abdomen quite sore so drink, drink, and drink some more. I'm carrying 3 liters of H2O to work each night and usually going through most of it.

Yes, it's my life. Two things that make living worthwhile.
    1. Running.
    2. Being with animals, hearing/seeing/touching/remembering them.

Have a fever, so it may take a while. My recoveries are slow.

Played 6 hours of tennis today, from 7-10 in the morning and from 3-6 in the afternoon with company's upper management. Haven't played 6 hours in a day since my college days. What a day!

That involves too much effort for him.

Remember, when they asked for his DNA samples he chose the swab option.

Fridays are the days when I really turn it on with regards to my daily 2-mile run. However, today, much to my chagrin, instead of doing my weekend sub 9:00 2-milers, I felt kind of lethargic and posted a 10:52 instead.

I think I know why, I've consumed a bottle of 75 cl (of Macallan) the past two nights, guess it's a wake up all. Wakey wakey!

That's me again, since this morning. Some kind of food poisoning perhaps.

    ---------

    Some sad news.

One female had found refuge at the end of my lane a couple months back (Very timid, scared dog, maybe 4-5 months old then). I call her "Sweetie" for obvious reasons. Well, Sweetie delivered a litter a few days back deep inside a drain in the next lane. I did not see them but people confirmed that she had delivered.

Heavy rain yesterday, and when i reached the lane the drain was flooded. At night, i found she had rescued one little black pup (barely a couple days old) and was sitting with it under a car. I fed her.

Today morning, she had the whole litter with her. Obviously, after the water receded, she picked them out (dead) and brought them to the same spot with the living one. Poor creature.

Had some great homemade pizza last night, on Lebanese bread as a base. Of course there were two made with eggplant (for yours truly, which were appreciated by all).
The Goat Cheese one was great as well.

Nope. this one is local, from a neighbouring state. But quite good. And nice on crackers, too.

On a sad note, yesterday I learned that even the one survivor of those pups in the next lane did not make it to the morning.

However, one of the (one/two month old) black pups in the forest has really taken to me. Its a she. And instead of biting me, she has been jumping and expressing a lot of love. Today, she followed me quite a distance when i went for my run. (I hope she got back safe).

I keep wondering whether she is the same one who ran away a year back, who is reborn again??

Three weeks ago, I had a small procedure on my arm. Surgeon gave me percocets. They made me feel warm and euphoric as hell. Wish I could get more. But then I'd be a drug addict. So that's no good.

Nobody has had a pleasant moment in over a month???

Here's one...it was a miserable evening tonight weather-wise but I stuck it out there and met a lot of nice people in between the raindrops. One lady that I rescued before one of the storms asked me to pick her up for a return ride and the skies opened up a bit for the time she wanted to ride. As soon as I dropped her off, it was pouring again! The next three rides were much the same...I guess the gods were with me...I sure needed their help!

I'm typically one who lets people find their own epiphanies, but I'm on vacation in Disney World and my family and I are living it up. I like to outdo the staff by being as friendly as I can be. Why don't I do that all the time?:)

I finally ran 70 minutes on Sunday. First 30 with stomach full, and last 30 it was dark in the park and the footing was dangerous. Could have fallen.

But still great. Nice weather here, too. In the tropics. And this was after watching the Shanghai final live, so it was a double treat.

Well yesterday I read the judge allowed the dog of the nurse with Ebola to live. Cute little guy named Bentley:
