This is not necessarily during tennis:
Sometimes I get a sharp pain near my ribs on my left side like the guy that posted the other topic. However, for me it only hurts(a sharp pain) whenever I inhale deeply. If I just breathe shallowly, it doesn't hurt. Any ideas what causes this or how to prevent it?

Is it on the front, the side, or the back part of your body?

its probably your rib, there can be many causes, pressure on a certain area, blood flow, other reasons, if its continues for a while check it out with a doc

A sharp pain with inspiration could qualify as a stress fracture, severe sprain of the costal-chondral junction (where the cartilage meets the bone), or some kind of inflammation of the outer lining of your lungs (the exact medical term escapes me because I am writing this very early in the morning), plus maybe a few other things. Best to get it checked out if it persists.
