How tightly do you all tie your shoes before playing? I usually like to tie my shoes fairly tight for support, but I've been getting some minor pain on the top portion of my feet near the middle. I believe the exact muscles affected are the extensor digitorum longus. I've heard this could be from having laces tied too tightly, but it could also just be from the stress of playing. Note that I wear a size 12 shoe, if that makes a difference. Any ideas?
