I play hard courts and have knee problems. How much can shoes hurt or help knee problems (osgood schlotters/jumpers knee etc)?

Do i need to look for cushioning, or some specific form of support?

The shoes are very important in terms of aligning your knees (esp patella). Go to very good podiatrist.

They must check you WHILE RUNNING (on a treadmill, etc). If they don't, they don't know what they are talking about.

Have a look at this thread:

I tried New Balance, lots of cushion but the high ride hurt my knees. I now use K-Swiss Defiers with Sole Ultra Custom Foot Beds (www.yoursole.com).
I buy 2 pairs of shoes and alternate.
