Shoe sole wear-out lengths consistant among brands?

I've only used Nike shoes thus far. I used City Center Courts and also varieties of CourtBallistics, and the sole near the front part of the foot wore out the same for both of these.

If I switch brands, will I get more life out of the toe sole? Or is it pretty much the case that there's no magic ultra durable material that is proprietary to companies and unknown by others?

    Thanks!

    Anyone?

Do different brands have better sole durability?

Yes. I have only tried two types of shoes so far. Nike Court Ballistecs 1.3's and New Balance 803's. The New Balance wins in comfort, but I had a hole in the side after a month and a half, and the sole was worn through after a little less than 2 months.

I have actually been logging the time for my Nike Court Ballistecs, and at my current play time of 72 hours (exactly the two month mark), the sole is close to worn through (probably has about 15-20 more hours), but the side isn't even close to getting a hole in it. So the Nike's will last me about 15-25 hours longer than the New Balance did.
