    On the Kyrgios/Thiem/Zverev bandwagon!
Do you ever find yourself addicted to trying a shot? It happens to me all the time. I hit a cool shot once and then can't seem to stop trying it. No matter how much I miss it, I keep going for it every time the opportunity comes up. Sometimes I even purposely try to set up the point so I can hit it. Most of the time I do this in practice (which is stupid because it's a waste of practice time) but sometimes it even comes up in tournaments (which is really stupid because it makes me lose points). My original addiction was the inside-out 1hbh. I purposely looked for chances to hit the ball like this. Now it's the inside out FH drop shot. I've hit it hundreds of times but it's still not this good. What are your shot addictions?

There's a few. This is what makes tennis fun.

The super short angled kick serve out wide for an ace. I'm having troubles landing it lately (so it feels like a wasted first serve) but I keep trying. I really need to get a bucket of balls and fix it.

Running forehand down the line passing shot. Most of the time I'd be better off throwing up a lob but gee it looks great when it goes in.

Ridiculous inside out forehands from the backhand corner a la Nadal (I'm lefty) which I usually end up not hitting accurately or hard enough for a winner leaving the rest of the court open for my opponent. But again, gee it looks great when I pull it off.

Drop shots off the return of serve. One of my better shots and great for annoying baseliners with crappy net/touch games.

The around the net post shot when the rare opportunity presents itself.

Lastly, the wrong-handed smash to avoid the backhand overhead. Awesome when it comes off. Used to practice this when I was a kid.

x2 on that stupid inside-out 1hbh. I've even run around my forehand to hit it in practice.

Those Del Potro-like running forehand swings. I know that I can get my feet underneath the shot and prolong the rally, but I intentionally stay low and slap at the ball the moment I chase it down. Most of the time they go long or into the net, but I when I pull one off, I just can't help myself. Feels great even when I miss.
