The choice is up to you. I think the Adidas Barricade is one of the best shoes that you can buy, but if you want to try something different then I understand. I think the Barricade has better traction, comfort, stability and durability then the Breathe II. Maybe that might help you.

Are you not capable of deciding for yourself? It's a pair of shoes. If you want to try Nike, try them. If you don't, then dont! Geez!!!

I have played with Barricades for the past 2 years, just purchased my 1st pair on Nike's BC II last night. I wanted to try these shoe for a while now, but I was worried about durability. It was on sale for $20 less so I'm giving it a try.

The Cage is the best cushioned shoe out there period. I think the Drag-On materials pinches your foot, yet your foot tends to slip out, so that is the downside.

I have Barricade V's in my shoe rotation and they fit, feel and perform great. I decided to give the Vapor V's and Breath Cage II's a try, but neither fit me well -- too narrow in the forefoot. While I did not wear them on the court, I was left with the clear impression that neither had the lateral support or cushioning of my B V's and SHT 306's. The only Nike that fits me well is the Air Zoom Cross Trainer -- these are really well cushioned, too.

No doubt. Always amuses me how people post these "help me decide" decisions on their gear.

Friends dont let friends buy/wear Adidas.

Nike is the choice. The Cages are wonderful high performance shoes.

Nike or Adidas. Camry or Accord. Coke or Pepsi. Say to yourself "instead of being an advertising-driven cliche, I'll buy the K-Swiss."

I think the BV's are a great pair of shoes. They have great support, durability, and traction. The first impression i had on the BC II's was that they had really nice heel cushioning, but, it was somewhat too narrow for me feet.

"Friends dont let friends buy/wear Adidas." HA! Nike are overpriced and underdesigned. There is only one brand - the brand with the three stripes.

B Vs all the way. I used the cages and I wore out 5 pairs in two months. Not worth the money

The vapours are better than the cages i know that coz i read alot about them both. the durability of the cages doesnt last that long. some guy used 1 pair of vapours for 5 months before they stopped being durable.

Go with whatever is more comfortable. I also had a choice of either Barricades or Breath Cage 2, I went with the breath cages purely comfort wise.

And tofi, by reading about something you know how good they are? I've been using these breath cages for easily 6 months now and they're still good as new...best tennis shoes I've ever had.

I have B Vs in my closet and hardly wear them. I used to have Vapor III before and these Bs are really heavy and hurt my the inside of my right ankle. I agree, they are very well made, but I don't like them too much on hardcourt. On clay they are ok. Mb they still should break in.

That's just promotion and endorsment. Doesn't mean that Nike is a better brand....

Not to mention Federer isn't wearing retail Vapours, nor Nadal actual Cages.

Nike has great comfort and cushioning if that is what you are after. The durability seems to go to the Barricades. If you have wide feet then don't go with the Nikes. The XDR outsoles at least for me have lasted longer than the previous DRC2 outsoles. If you fit both then go with the pair you can get a better deal on.

If you have a closet full of Adidas, i wouldn't throw it off with nike shoes. You wore your shoes right in time to buy the Shanghai barricade 5's!!!. then after that you can look forward to the new adidas shoes!!!

By the way i am a diehard nike fan

to the OP. go with whatever you feel you'd like more. i personally won't play with anything other than Barricades, i wear everything else out too fast.
