I'd want to try it out first. But yeah, that's a good deal.

I've never strung on a crank before...how would I know crank's in working condition?

Check the calibration, if you can. Pull tension on some scrap string at something high like 68-70 lbs to make sure that the mechanism holds. Check the linear gripper to make sure it isn't worn down.

That is an Alpha Apex. From the color of the paint, I would say it is one of the earlier runs. The machine was $1200 new not $800. That is bargain unless it is totally trashed. From the pictures it is not trashed. Interesting that the seller does not know what he is selling. That is always a concern. If you can see it before buying and do not have to pay shipping, you got a supper deal. Personally I can not believe a machine like this is selling for $300.

The pictures even show the badminton clamps in the tray.. Have you contacted him?

He's not too far from where I am so hopefully I'll be able to check it out in person. Looks pretty damn near new from the pics...but will see.

just check on it... make sure it works... that is an unbelievable deal.

my luck with craigslist indicates that the machine will be a lot nicer than listed, or a lot trashier than listed.

You're absolutely right about that! I've gotten some incredible deals thru craigslist as well. I think he's moving and trying to unload some stuff.

    LMFAO @ Bud!!!

Going up there sometime this week to check it out. His friend, a stringer, left it there when he moved to Australia....realised it'll cost too much to ship it down under and told him to do whatever with it.
