Would you recommend decrease the tension on the K-Boom 17 gauge than my normal string tension? Usually I string with Klip natural gut at 55 on my yonex; I am thinking about using the K-Boom on the mains and natural gut on the crosses. (This is my first time trying polyester strings). What would you recommend? Thanks.

This largely depends on what you are trying to achieve by switching string. If you stick at 55lbs you should notice a drop in power compared to an all gut job. If you’re looking for more control then this would be a good starting point. If you are merely looking for more durability then you should consider stringing at 53lbs. With the softer gut in the crosses I would keep it at the same tension as the mains.
