Sign on Lendl's and Edberg's strings...?

    Does anyone of you know something about the black round dot on Edberg's and Lendl's strings in the mid of the 80s?

    I'm asking myself since that time what this sign means?

    Maybe a sign of their string-manufacturer?

    As far as I can remember, Ivan had this sign on his racket only in 1988 incl. the adidas logo and Stefan had this sign on his racket 1988 and 1989 without the Wilson logo and in 1990 with the Wilson logo... :confused:

    yes it was the logo for Bow Brand.

    i think kirko's right, i remember edberg being sponsored by bow brand

    One of the guys I train with is also sponsored by Bow Brand. And that is their logo.

    Ohhhhhh....

    Seen that on their rackets many moons ago but never knew what that was. Not much of a logo if you ask me. I wonder how much they paid to have that professionally designed :roll:

    Yea, sort of like Techifibre's nifty red triangle (thought it belonged to Bass Ale). Next well see a square or parallelogram.
