For each player, pick in your mind the win or match that took their career to the next level.

    Nadal-vs Fed SF RG 05
    Fed-vs Sampras Wimby 01
Djokovic-vs Fed Canada 07 (could also be beating #3 Roddick, #2 Nadal, & #1 Fed in that tourney)
Murray-vs Roddick Wimby 06 OR vs Fed Cincy 06 OR vs Rafa USO 08
DelPotro-vs. Nadal Miami 09 (could be, we'll have to wait and see)
    Roddick-vs. El Anouyi AO 03

Just for fun, nothing serious, in your opinion. It could be a win or a loss in a tough 5 setter.

    Nice thread.
    For top 8:

    Nadal vs Federer Wimbledon 2008
    Federer vs Philippoussis Wimbledon 2003
    Djokovic vs Federer AO 2008
    Murray vs Djokovic Cincy 2008
    DelPotro vs Nadal Miami 2009
    Roddick vs Nalbandian USO 2003
Verdasco vs Murray AO 2009 (still remains to be seen, same as DelPotro)
Simon vs Nadal Madrid 2008 (but in a slump now)

I said Fed in Canada b/c that was still when Fed was THE MAN on HC, and Nadal was a bit weaker on HC back then. The Nadal win was good, but not as earth shattering as the win vs. Fed.

    Tsonga-vs. Nadal AO 08
Gonzo-vs. Nadal AO 07 (that whole run really)
    Hewitt-vs Sampras USO 01
    Blake-vs Agassi USO 05

It doesn't just have to be current players, be nice to see some of the classic signature wins/matches.

Simon would have to be vs. Fed in Canada last yr. Any thoughts on Davydenko? I had a few in mind for him. Mine would be that epic he had vs Nadal in Rome 07.

^^^Agreed. Though the Murray match is a good alternative.

Murray's match was definitely his win over Gasquet.

I remember that there was a lot of hype, but come to think about it, it was just Gasquet in the R16.

ya but he came from 2 sets and a break down 5-4 to the delight of home crowd.

plus, Richard was defending semi-finalist and (still is) a great grass court player.

Speaking of Richard, his would be Monte Carlo vs. Fed and Wimby vs Roddick. Both classics.

Stepanek's signature would be his ability to pull the babes-first Hingis, then Vaidisova. Two signature upsets there!

Wawrinka in MC vs Fed. There's a lotta guys I can't think of one for. Robredo? Monfils? Probably RG last yr. But what about Safin? Would his sig win be Fed in AO SF or Sampras in USO final?
