Ok, I have yet to pull the trigger on the SP Lite, but I am likely going to order very soon. Before rjw, these guys seemed to pioneer it by splicing into the power lines to the feed and oscillator.

But I like the rjw method much better, since the control board is already set up for a remote. The switches are just jumped close with solder on the Lite. I spent today looking for a source of 2ch 12v remotes, and cost is $10-$30. Can't find a western source so far though, so looks like up to a 26 day wait to receive from Hong Kong after ordering. Check "the bay" or carymart if you are interested in sourcing one. I may be able to find a 4 channel remote quicker than a 2ch, but a 2 is more elegant.

Incidently do a search here: rjw ended up adding a ton of features and modes to his Lite, including 2 line wide and narrow and powered elevation. I think he even upgraded the oscillation motor to make it oscillate faster. It looks like he created a real Silent FrankenPartner beast for about $1000 total investment. There is some cool video to prove it. I'm not advanced enough to go that far however.

I like rjw solution too. I only want to add remote only at this time.

I don't want to open the machine before I know how to do it and have all components on hands. Thank you very much.
