What are the patters? How and when to use?

Hey NJboy, I remember you posted here a while ago about your 1hbh. How's the backhand going?

What are the specific problems that you have related to footwork?

Anyways, to give you a generic answer: It's important to place your left foot in the correct place to allow your right foot to step forward and across your body (to close your stance) to set up your forward swing.

Here is a video the places great emphasis on the use of the right foot. Just remember that your left foot is what puts your right foot into position.

If you focus just on this you should have decent 1hbh footwork.

    Thank you for remembering me.

Still working on the stroke but it is winter I can't afford to play indoor. So want to practice some footwork.

I tend to be late at backhand side. How to improve?
