Slazenger???? Anyone in the 'know'?

What's up with the lack of info on Slazenger? I just came off a UK web site and was surprised to see a whole line of sticks, X1, X2, X3, etc.

The Slazenger site is just golf and the Dunlop site makes no mention of Slazenger.

Is the Slaz "X" line just a Dunlop "G" line clone. Is the X1 a 200G and the X2 a 300G?

If there is anyone who can clarify this and provide some info, that would be really great.
Thanks,
Guy

UPDATE: Here is the email response I just got from Slazenger golf

"You have reached Slazenger Golf Products, which differs from Slazenger
Tennis. You can phone Slazenger Tennis at 800-235-5516."

UPDATE #2 - Focus Golf owns the licencing rights to Dunlop and Slazenger and they only have the X1 Stateside. Someone else must have control of overseas. The racquets are made for Focus and badged by them with the Dunlop/Slaz name.

I thought Donnay (UK) acquired Slaz + Dunlop a few months ago. Henman still uses ProBradied cosmetic and not X1 cosmetics...perhaps because of this ownership changes. The X1 is defintely NOT a 200G HM!

I live in the UK and I demoed the X1, X2, HM200G and HM300G. The 300G is similar to the X2, though still differant enough to be individual (head size for a start) the X1 is very, very differant to the HM200G.

from my understanding.. don't expect a website for either Dunlop or Slazenger anytime soon. Its not something the new owner of the company feels is important. I guess when your philosophy is pile em high, sell em cheap, you don't need to try and build the brand image.

Things in the US might be a little different as they are now sold and marketed through a company called focus.

For the record, all 4 frames are different, anyone needing specs give me a shout.

Yow! ... Hey, Ed/NBMJ, you really stirred it up. man. The Slaz is the hottest thing on these boards since your review, after eons of having no run at all ... The power of the pen is still much mightier than the sword.

Glad to hear you guys are liking the X1.

I hope this will give some of you guys the confidence to take a look at my new brand later this year.
