I just bought a Slazenger Pro X1 from TW. It came strung with the Slazenger X-tournament string. I couldn't find any information about that string anywhere. Does anyone know anything about the string?

If it is a grey coloured string with wht feels like a slick coating, I think it is actually Dunlop Max Comfort Ti. It plays muted and does not have very good feel and detracts from the performance of the X1. Suggest you replace it with a crisp monofilament like Gosen Micro 16 or Prince Syngut Original.

Yes, it is grey and looks similar as the Ashaway Monogut. Do you worry about string movements with synthetic guts on the X1?

I love my X1 but it is pretty hard on string (fairly open pattern), so I've settled on a hybrid of Techifibre Polyspin 17 mains and Gosen Micro 16 crosses = good durability and nice overall playability.
