So I slide a lot on hard courts.

Lets ignore the fact that stopping to slide would stop ruining my shoes, but is there anything I can do to help alleviate the problem of the whole inside of my left shoe being ruined? I'm right handed so I slide and the inside of the shoe rips a whole and rips the whole side off. Anyways to protect the inside does anyone have any ideas?

    better footwork = smaller steps
    smaller steps = less sliding
smaller steps = better positioning also
    less sliding = less wear

watch fed in some of his vids, i've seen him take up to 7 or 8 small steps moving only a few feet and hitting a backhand winner.

edit* sorry i couldn't help any further, maybe some sort of durability glue or something...heh...

i used to slide my left foot too on hard courts, are you sliding with your right foot too like a clay slide or just sorta a drag? cause playing on clay for a while will get you better footwork in general.
