she is young and other than fed will be able to make the switch.
she is framing too many balls and should use offseason to get used to a bigger headsize. future top5 player imo.

She switched to a radical mp a year ago so she should be used to the bigger headsize by now.

I thought it was just a paint job with her midsize under the paint. But I searched the forum and you are right. She already plays the bigger headsize.

More proof that shanking has nothing to do with headsize. Both Federer and Stephens shank more with bigger racquets than they did with their smaller racquets. Bigger racquet just means more racquet there is to get in the way of your swing.

I hate it when my Big Bubba frames a shot the would have been in a clean miss with my PS 85! ;)

If you miss the ball completely with a PS 6.0 85, it's not a Big Bubba that you need, it's tennis lessons. :)

It's the footwork, not the frame

I second that. For Sloane, it's more to the technical side. You realize she frame more on softer balls.

It's also how early you hit the ball off of the bounce, how fast your racquet head speed is, your swing path, and your grip.

I'm with you on this BP, but shhhh. Don't give the real secret to tennis success. The people need to know it's all about the racket... and strings, and grip, and mimicking pros setup, and their clothes, shoes.... so shhhh.. LOL :twisted::twisted:

    Thanx!

I looked up some older videos of hers and it doesn't seem like a midsize to be honest.. but I'll take your word for it.

When everything goes wrong, switching racquets is the best solution.

I promise you she used the MG Prestige Mid switched to the YT Prestige Mid, the played with the YT Prestige Mid 16x19 and then switched to the IG Radical MP 16x19.

Yep. A player could use a Bubba but if you have a swing that isn't technically sound and consistent, you'll be able to frame with that too :D

Sloane has an extreme grip and a very long backswing. She's going to be prone to shanking balls throughout her career.
