I can't remember the last time my company cancelled work. Forecast calls for snow followed by ice. Schools cancelled yesterday. Work called it at 5am.
It's usually make it if you can. I live 1 1/2 miles away so I can make it, and everyone knows it.
This part of the Blue Ridge Foothills is just hilly enough for ice to shut down roads completely. All it takes is one 18wheeler to jack-knife and the road is closed for hours.
    Y'all stay warm.

Our office closed today as well. Not often we see this much snow in metro Atlanta.

Clearly this will be the final nail in the coffin for the Global warming and Climate change experts.

My boss called to say no work Tuesday. The ice is expected later this evening until Tues. morning.
The SC Governor declared A State of Emergency.
I know our Northern friends are not impressed. 6 inches not even a bother for them.

The ice came through, but no major damage.
It was dry and didn't stick to the power lines.
    Power stayed on.
    Y'all stay warm.

Snow Day is not woo hoo for me. 365 days of sunshine would suit me just fine. :) Yes I have to go to work, but then I get to play tennis after work.
