    Well, that wouldnt be bad. It would be pathetic. For Roger, that is. I dont care how many sets they play, I just want Rafa to win.
    Vamos Rafa!!

    Well, Rafa seems kind of tired. And Roger has lost some of his confidence. Plus, Roger is going to want to practice for RG. So, I predict a wierd match, which Rafa will end up winning.

    Seeing how this topic was started with no actual insight, I'm gonna say Nadal picks his butt and accidentally pops some hemroids and loses too much blood to play on. Federer wins by default.

    Fed fans are easy to entertain I guess. I guess the bitterness comes from Nadal beating Federer 5 times in a row. :D

    If Nadal loses today it will simply tell us he is tired out and nothing else. I wonder if either of them really feel like playing!!

    Should Nadal switch to a larger frame???

    SHANKS
    Fed: 1 FH, 2BH= 3 total
    Nadal: 4 FH, 1 BH = 5 total

    WINNERS
    Fed: 15 FH, 2 BH= 17 total
    Nadal: 5 FH, 5BH= 10 total

    BAGELS
    Fed= zero
    Nadal= one

    Uhmm, who has the longest current winning streak on clay?? Cause it ain't Nadal. He needs to switch to a larger frame if he hopes to even win one game vs Fed in their next match. LOL

    Yeah try to run around the fact that Nadal played 10 matches in 12 days along with playing a long match yesterday against Hewitt. A 100% Nadal beats Fed today.

    I love that you´re trolling. It just shows the true colors of some Fed fans. Where´s the class with winning the title? Nowhere, just flaming trolls already firing up the boards.

    Nadal Freak,

    By the same token, Federer fans can say that Federer's been in a slump, and wasn't playing in AO form (and argue that in AO form, Federer beats Nadal even at 100%).

    It was probably somewhat of a relief to Nadal to lose, and not have to carry the pressure of an 80+-match win-streak into the FO.

    As for Federer, an obviously valuable win on all counts (getting back in form, doing better already in some ways this clay-court season than last, beating Nadal, psychological hump).

    Morissey,

    I think part of that post was mocking the stupid comments about Federer needing to switch to a larger racket. But part of it was obnoxious, as Nadal's clay-court season is still better than Federer's (so-far), and his match-streak was formidable.

    Suiting that it was ended by the #1 player, and not some nobody who no-one will remember 20 years from now.

    Simon, you got pwned. I like that fed has won, but as far as in-your-face goes, this is much better. Eat it, Simon.

    Say what you guys want about Nadal being tired and so he will win their next meeting on clay. This win was a big psychological boost for Federer. Matches on clay will probably be closer between them from now on.

    That would be Chris Evert, with a streak of 125 (I think, but if not, that is close) on clay.

    Depending, of course, on your definition of 'current', but her streak is more 'current' than Vilas' was.

    Let us all hope for this. It will be good for tennis. Doesn't matter who wins. Let's see some good, dramatic, close, hard fought matches between two of the greatest players every to pick up a racket.

    Not sure Fed Fans could of gone into the match thinking it would of been easy. Im also sure that no Fed Fan thought he had a good chance after the first set.

    As a Fed Fan Im glad he figured out the combo. Middle to Nadal's backhand side, if he runs around it, go for the open court early. Establish control and take the point. Seemed to work. Watch the second two sets and you'll see the combo.

    One thing that stood out. The look on Rafa's face at 5-0. I saw it on one others face: Andy Roddick at the Australian Open. Something may have snapped. Too early to see.

    Nadal is still a beast. I hope they meet at the final again. Then we should all place a bet.

    Sorry about that. I was exhausted after the match from rewinding and forwarding all those "shanked" forehand winners Fed was hitting. I think I'm going to have to switch to a lighter, less demanding remote control with larger buttons. :)

    Just like you try and run around the fact Nadal and Federer have played 4 times on the neutral hard court surface, only 1 time on grass, and 6 times on clay. Fed and Nadal play 6 matches on clay instead of 1, to match their 6 matches on grass, and their head to head is 9-7 Federer.

    LOL. That, and he definitely needs to switch to a larger frame as he had more shanks than Fed today, less winners, and more errors.
