Federer is not a consistent player anymore, he is making so many errors it's not funny. You don't need to go for your shots or make lame approaches *cough Roddick cough* to beat him.
Keep the ball in play as much as you can, sooner or later he will miss!
He is very impatient when he can't finish points quickly and he makes a lot of errors.
Will other players finally see it???
Not only Nadal, Murray, Simon and Djokovic?

That's because Roddick accomodated Federer with pillows and candy. His darling: crying, racquet-trashing, crap mouthy Federer is the sweetest thing in the universe. Get a divorce. Choke in your parties with the basketball players, Roddick.

    Thanks for the advice, OP.

I don't think the other players ever thought of keeping the ball in play before. :-?

That's not enough. You still have to put enough pressure for him to miss. The top guys have enough presence for Federer to feel threaten while the low tier guys don't have such presence, so Federer is going to stomp them with no pressure anyway.
